Arsenal have confirmed that flops Ryo Miyaichi and Semi Ajayi will be moving to German outfit St Pauli and Cardiff respectively from next season.
The duo have featured a very little to the gunners. The former came to Arsenal in January 2011 and has been on loan spells to various clubs like Bolton, FC Twente, and Feyenoord. He does not appear to have a future at the Emirates stadium just likeAjayi, who was signed from Charlton’s Academy two years ago. He spent the last season on loan at Cardiff and he appears to have sufficiently impressed to the Championship club to offer a permanent contract.
More departures are expected at the Emirates stadium in the next few weeks, as the futures of players like Joe Campbell and Lukas Podolski will be sorted out. Podolski spent the last season on loan at Inter Milan, but they are not interested in a permanent deal after the poor performances of the German international. A return to Germany appears to be on the cards for the striker. Arsenal have always been a club to offer young players their chance in the first-team and one of the latest to try and get a regular spot is Gedion Zelalem.
“I am going to go back for pre-season and try to get into the first team and play some games. If I can do that, great. If not, I will look to get out on loan somewhere. It is a dream come true to be at a club like Arsenal and I want to get into the first team this season, play minutes and start matches.I have high expectations of myself and if I was to be starting week in, week out, I wouldn’t be surprised,” said the 18-year-old, who made his debut last season in the Champions League against Galatasaray.
